How To Sleep Well With Husband When Gynecology Is Great

Feeling comfortable in bed may be one of the biggest challenges during pregnancy. It gets harder as your stomach gets bigger during the second and third trimesters.

Sharing a bed with your partner, who also tries to sleep comfortably, can be more troublesome.

You may wake him up or disturb his sleep because you have cramps or need to stretch your legs. Read the following tips that help you both to get better sleep:

1. Sleep in a king size bed

If you can afford it and have space, buy a larger bed so you can stretch your body more freely. This bed will also be useful if you plan to sleep with your baby after birth.

2. Buy a new mattress

When the mats are loose or squeaky, it is time to buy a new mat. Sleep experts recommend that you change the mat every 7-8 years to get a good night's sleep.

3. Divide two beds

A long cushion placed in the center of the bed as a barrier may help both of you feel comfortable on one side. Another tip is to buy extra blankets, so there is no need to scramble blankets at midnight.

4. Troubleshoot snoring problems

If one of you snores, the solution may be sleeping in a separate bed. If you do not have one bedroom anymore, tell the couple to sleep in the living room for several nights. It's only temporary to help you both sleep.

When separate sleeping is not an option, earplugs with candles or silicone can really help mask the snoring. However, using ear plugs may cause swelling on the outside of the ear. To help prevent it, keep both ears and ear plugs clean and dry. If the ear itches and you think you may be allergic or sensitive to ear plugs, seek advice from a GP.

5. Take a nap

If you suffer from sleep disorders at night, try to take a nap if you can.

Better to sleep at night at the same time. However, if you really can not sleep at night, try to sleep 1-2 hours before your partner sleeps. You will be able to have room to change your sleeping position.

When you have started maternity leave, you can rest after your partner leaves for work. However, remember that this may make you more difficult to sleep at night.
